Trileptal (Oxcarbazepine) is commonly used for the treatment of partial seizures which does help aid people with epilepsy but as part of the bipolar disorder, mania induced states can put the body into overdrive and cause small seizures such as a couple of limbs shaking involuntary. This course may not work for everyone but Trileptal and bipolar disorder can mix to help part relieve just one of the many symptoms the condition can present itself to a sufferer.
It is always unfortunate when any person is subjected to the condition, but with children and for parents, it can be extremely stressful and upsetting.
It is unlikely that a child will develop the condition but if this is the case then Trileptal and bipolar disorder will almost certainly come together again to help some of the mood swings. In terms of the severity of the mood, it may not be as bad as an adult but it can do harm to a child and the symptoms could potentially get worse so it is vital to seek medical advice urgently.
When trying to manage bipolar it may not be easy but it is important to remember that once you have got medical advice then the only way is forward, things from this stage can only get better.
There are many drugs available to manage the condition. Some like Lithium have been around for many years with very good results and there are always new ones coming on board.
